Supporting a good cause, and getting a lot in return.

If the thought of broadening your business’ horizons to make place for new experiences, and to meet people outside of your work sphere feels exhilarating, and maybe also a little daunting, perhaps a first step could be supporting a charity. Supporting meaningful causes is a great way to give whilst also receiving a lot in return.

About Artbox

Here at Artbox, we support people with learning disabilities and autism to create, exhibit, sell and license their artwork. We are an art studio and gallery committed to empowering our artists by giving them the space and the tools they need to express themselves freely. Community-building, the promotion of independence and the fostering of artistic and lifestyle skills are at the heart of our practice. Since our beginnings in 2011, we have grown a lot and been able to extend our support to more people each year. Our growth has in part been facilitated by business partnerships and corporate support which have played an unprecedented role in our ability to raise awareness around the causes we value.

Artbox’s Partnership with Facebook

Our partnership with Facebook started in 2018. From then onwards, we collaborated on multiple projects which allowed us to benefit from Facebook’s expertise and to share our own. In July 2018, the Facebook Art Department joined us at our studio to produce videos of our artists and our work, giving us a platform through which to share our message more widely. Alongside this, some of our artists had the pleasure of leading workshops in the Facebook offices, and others created unique designs which were licensed by Facebook and then distributed under the form of cards to thousands of their staff. These opportunities are incredible confidence boosters for Artbox artists.

At the start of 2020, our partnership was taken to a whole new level when Facebook gifted us a Riso printer and three-years worth of printing materials. Using soy ink, the Riso is a green and speedy way to print and duplicate high quality prints. Along with it, we have the support of Gabriella, a graphic designer from Risotto Studio, who will come to the studio once a month until December to teach us the skills and techniques until we are able to manoeuvre the beast on our own. The Riso represents a real game changer for us. Over time, we will be able to print our artwork independently and design unique stationary merchandise.

Your turn?

Building corporate partnerships has proven extremely valuable for our growth and we are continuously seeking to connect with businesses who share our values. We appreciate that each and every business is unique which is why there are many avenues to take for those interested in supporting us. Whether you want to buy an artwork with a story to embellish your offices; to give your employees an unforgettable bonding experience; or if you are in search of the perfect illustration for the cover of your next book… with Artbox, the possibilities are endless!

If you would like to collaborate with us please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
