About the artist and their work:

When making her signature collages, Chantel’s enthusiasm is palpable. Her collages often contain surrealist elements, for example an elephant surrounded by birds of paradise, or a white horse suspended in mid-air. By mounting disparate elements on contrasting backgrounds, Chantel creates pieces that are both unexpected and playful. Chantel absolutely loves coming to exhibitions, and showing others her work. Her support worker, Jessie, says “For Chantel it is one of the best things in her life. When there is no class, in holiday time, she will ask ‘when are we going back to art class?’”
