Shibori Success!

We absolutely loved our Japanese knot wraps (furoshiki)- they’re environmentally friendly, versatile and fun.

Reports came back that buyers were using them to wrap bread, carry lunch boxes, tie their hair and more BUT…they sold out!

So we decided to create a new batch but this time using an ancient Japanese technique known as Shibori.

The Thursday morning craft group folded, tied and pinched 100% organic cotton (kindly donated by lovely people at Lush) and dipped it in 100% natural indigo dye. Unfolding the designs was magical and the deep blue and white patterns are stunning.
